At The Shard, he introduced the first security strategy, counter terrorism, public order & emergency plans and procedures that proved to be instrumental in successfully protecting people and property and an effective response to multiple incidents.

Key to success was partnership working with :

Engagement with specialist departments within these organisations that included Firearms, Royalty & Specialist Protection, Counter Terrorism Command & Specialist Response led to participation in multi-agency exercises and support in producing confidential security plans.

Under his leadership events such as the Greenpeace Climb, Royal visits, Base Jumper incident and building evacuations, which attracted wide TV news coverage, were operationally successful, a testament to the comprehensive emergency preparedness and response plans, supported by a programme of multi-agency table top exercises.
